Position Summary
The Lead Technician requires experience diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, and leadership skills to mentor a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction.

Pay Range: $22.90 - $49.10

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.

Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.

Stay current with automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.

Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years. Company pays test fees and provides bonus for passed tests.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.

Proficiency in brake diagnosis/repair.

Proficiency in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.

Proficiency in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.

Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.

Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.

Reading, writing and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems.

Engine repair, engine performance, transmission, drivetrain, HVAC.

Five years of automotive repair experience, or certifications, or completion of a vocational‑technical program.

A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1–A8 (L1 may include Brakes and Steering & Suspension).
