Position Overview
The Anderson School of Music is looking for a piano teacher for Wednesday afternoon beginning May 2026. Availability to substitute on other days is a plus.
Responsibilities
Treat lessons taught in person at our well-equipped Los Gatos location, working primarily with students aged four to eight.
Ensure punctuality and maintain attendance records.
Engage children, encouraging them and fostering a love for music.
Utilize the school's practice spaces for personal rehearsal when lessons are not in session.
Coordinate with our admin staff regarding scheduling, make‑up lessons, new student sign‑ups, and client communication.
Qualifications
Degree in music with an emphasis in music education, or two or more years of experience teaching piano and working with young children.
Skilled piano performance at a high level.
Ability to work with children and understand developmental needs.
Location and Compensation
All lessons are taught in person at our location in Los Gatos. Starting pay is $40 per hour with potential raise after a 30‑day assessment period.
