About the Role
AXS, part of AEG, is a global leader in ticketing technology. We're hiring a
Legal Counsel
to support our UK and EU business, working closely with commercial, operational and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Counsel will advise AXS businesses in the UK and EU across the following areas:
Commercial Contracts
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating B2B agreements across ticketing, live entertainment, technology and marketing partnerships
Advising commercial teams on contractual risk, structure and practical legal solutions, while supporting scalable templates and processes
Supporting RFPs, tenders and new client pitches across the UK and Europe
Advising on legal and regulatory considerations during client onboarding and new market launches
Advising on B2C matters including website terms, consumer journeys, promotions and purchase terms
Supporting consumer complaints, disputes and litigation matters, including managing external counsel when needed
Privacy, Compliance & Regulation
Advising on privacy and data protection matters, including UK and EU requirements
Supporting compliance projects and monitoring regulatory developments affecting ticketing, resale and e‑commerce
International Support
Providing legal support across multiple European markets including the UK, France, Sweden and Germany
Working with international stakeholders and coordinating local counsel where required
Qualifications
A qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate and 3+ years' post‑qualification experience
Experience in commercial contracting, ideally within digital, music, media or entertainment businesses
Strong negotiation experience and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and priorities
A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach, comfortable working at pace and managing competing demands
Experience working independently, with an interest in supporting the development of junior colleagues
French or German language skills would be highly desirable
Experience working in or advising on France and/or Germany would be a strong advantage
