About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to spearhead the transformation and scaling of one of its portfolio businesses. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and dedicated leader, capable of honoring the company's legacy while driving it into a future of significant growth. The role demands a top executive with a strong background in specialty distribution, ideally having served as the primary operational leader in a mid-market distribution company or as a senior executive in a larger enterprise with a substantial revenue footprint. A heavy operational orientation is essential, and while experience in private equity is not mandatory, a solid background in M&A integration is preferred.

The COO will be instrumental in executing the company's investment thesis, which focuses on leveraging its market reputation and structural advantages to pursue a robust M&A strategy and capture a significant share of a growing market. The candidate should be prepared to lead the business through a period of rapid expansion, both organically and inorganically, and to fully professionalize the company as it scales. A tenure of 20-35+ years, with a proven track record of success, is expected. The role is pivotal in the company's transition to private equity ownership, and the ideal candidate will have a contagious will to win, a passion for the industry, and a commitment to driving the business forward.
