Job Overview
We are seeking a new
Construction Inspector
to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a
Construction Inspector , you will work onsite at our client site in
Florida
and be required to maintain a daily presence on site.
Key Responsibilities
As the primary field representative, ensure contractor adherence to quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) protocols by overseeing construction activities to ensure strict compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.
Perform daily field inspections to verify that construction activities comply with plans, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
Serve as the onsite field representative for our Florida projects.
Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, and installation methods to ensure quality and compliance.
Maintain daily logs of activities, including work performed, labor, equipment, and site conditions.
Ensure all work adheres to safety requirements, including OSHA and client standards.
Coordinate inspection activities around client schedules and operational safety zones to minimize disruption to building operations.
Review and verify installed quantities to support contractor progress payments.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
Demonstrated experience on maritime or port projects.
Physical ability to conduct site inspections in outdoor and industrial environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms.
Good to great organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical degree in construction management or civil engineering technology.
Knowledge of independent testing and third‑party inspection activities.
