About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Center Electrician
to serve as the technical authority for electrical systems within a mission‑critical data center environment. This role owns the safe operation, maintenance, and technical execution of the site’s electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliable power delivery across all systems.
This is a hands‑on role with real ownership. You will work across utility power, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and customer power delivery—ensuring systems operate safely, compliantly, and without interruption. You will also provide technical oversight of vendor work, validate system performance, and support infrastructure upgrades, capacity planning, and incident response.
Shifts: 2nd Shift: Wed‑Sat 2pm‑12am.
Be the technical authority behind mission‑critical power systems.
What You Do Daily
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure including utility feeds, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and distribution systems.
Install, modify, and energize AC and DC power circuits to customer equipment in compliance with code and site standards.
Monitor electrical capacity, system loads, and breaker availability, identifying risks and ensuring safe operating conditions.
Lead electrical troubleshooting and corrective repair during incidents, outages, or abnormal system conditions.
Support infrastructure lifecycle work, including upgrades, expansions, and new equipment deployment.
Provide technical oversight of vendor‑performed maintenance, ensuring work is executed safely and meets standards.
Review and validate electrical documentation, including single‑line diagrams, as‑builts, and capacity records.
Participate in change management by reviewing MOPs for electrical safety, redundancy impact, and technical accuracy.
Support audits, post‑incident reviews, and pre‑sales engineering by providing electrical subject‑matter expertise.
What Makes You a Good Fit
Strong hands‑on experience with mission‑critical electrical systems in data centers, industrial facilities, or similar environments.
Deep understanding of power systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and lead technical response during high‑pressure situations.
Strong working knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and PPE requirements.
Experience working with vendors and ensuring technical work meets defined standards.
Attention to detail in documentation, system validation, and safe execution of electrical work.

Qualifications
Licensed Electrician
or equivalent electrical certification required.
5+ years of experience working with electrical systems in mission‑critical, industrial, or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and DC power systems.
Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC and DC systems.
Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and safety standards (LOTO, arc flash, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, and technical documentation.
Experience supporting critical operations, incident response, and maintenance execution.
