Auto Mechanic

West Genesee CSD currently has an immediate opening for a full-time, 12-month Auto Mechanic in our Transportation Department.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain all school vehicles under the supervision of the Head Mechanic.
Perform preventive maintenance brake checks and oil changes as required by the Department of Transportation and to enhance the overall vehicle life.
Perform body repairs and painting of vehicles as regulations permit on an as need basis.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Prepare buses for Department of Transportation Inspections.
Drive school bus in an emergency situation as determined by the Director of Transportation or designee.
Perform other work as assigned, within the Civil Service classification.
Qualifications
Must have the skills to repair and maintain all school vehicles
Must have a CDL Class B license with a passenger and air brake endorsement
