Job Overview
The City of Columbus Department of Technology is seeking an experienced

.NET Developer

to support and enhance existing custom applications. These applications are primarily built using

C# and SQL Server .

This role includes application maintenance, enhancements, and user support, along with limited interaction with supporting platforms such as

REDCap, SAS, and GitHub .

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET applications using C# and SQL

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and implement fixes

Analyze requirements and design appropriate technical solutions

Collaborate with business users to ensure solutions meet functional needs

Provide ongoing application support and respond to user issues

Track, manage, and resolve risks and issues impacting application performance

Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation

Communicate progress, issues, and updates to team leads and stakeholders

Proactively recommend improvements and updates to existing systems

Work Schedule

Approximately

12 hours per week

Must be available occasionally for meetings or training between

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST

Flexible schedule outside of required meetings

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

6+ years

of experience in

.NET development (C#)

Strong experience with

SQL Server and database development

Experience supporting and maintaining production applications

Ability to analyze requirements and implement technical solutions independently

Experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues

Familiarity with

GitHub

for version control

Exposure to or experience with

REDCap and/or SAS

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and coding standards

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
