Reports to:
Director of Security/Security Supervisor/Manager on Duty
Shift:
Flexible availability between 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM Seasonal, Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Aqua Security Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-organized pool and aquatic environment for all guests. This role combines security awareness, crowd control, and guest service, ensuring hotel policies are enforced professionally while supporting overall daily operations. Associates must demonstrate strong situational awareness, professionalism, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a safe and secure pool and aquatic area, ensuring guest compliance with hotel policies and safety rules
Check guests into designated pool areas, issue wristbands and towels, and control access
Monitor guest activity to ensure safety, appropriate conduct, and capacity compliance
Identify, address, and appropriately respond to intoxicated persons, escalating concerns to Security Management as needed
Observe, document, and report incidents, hazards, suspicious behavior, or policy violations promptly and accurately
Complete daily log reports in a timely and detailed manner
Assist with keeping assigned areas clean, orderly, and presentable
Control and account for master keys in accordance with hotel security procedures
Support other departments and assist guests as needed to ensure a positive experience
Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance concerns to help ensure guest and associate safety
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong safety and security awareness
Ability to enforce policies calmly, respectfully, and professionally
Excellent guest service and communication skills
Ability to remain alert, observant, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of basic First Aid and CPR preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Qualifications
Must demonstrate a commitment to guest satisfaction
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Prior security, pool, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and in a team environment
Interior and exterior patrol of hotel property in all weather conditions.
Equipment
Security vehicles, computers, cell phones and any training received.
