
Senior Category Manager Machined Castings

About the role
The Senior Category Manager – Machined Castings will lead the global strategy for the machined castings category, driving supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and long‑term sourcing strategy. This role plays a critical part in aligning engineering, product management, and supply chain to ensure the right supplier network is in place to support business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the global category strategy and technology roadmap for machined castings
Develop and manage a high‑performing global supplier network aligned with cost, quality, delivery, and reliability objectives
Lead supplier selection, qualification, and development in collaboration with engineering and product teams, especially during NPI phases
Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing and supplier diversification
Negotiate long‑term global contracts and drive continuous cost improvement initiatives
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
5–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management within a manufacturing environment
Experience managing global suppliers and working across multiple regions and time zones
Strong negotiation experience with international suppliers
Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in machined castings, metals, or related manufacturing processes
Experience leading teams or influencing cross‑functional stakeholders at a senior level
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
