Job Summary:
The Center of Excellence (COE) teams is a critical component of the broader Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization within CooperVision. The COE is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the GSC by supporting the development of new capabilities, accelerating their delivery, and helping to mature key processes and use of systems while developing talent across the supply chain organization.
The COE Solution Architect: GSC Reporting & Analytics is responsible for leading CooperVision’s Global Supply Chain organization in the design, development and execution of robust reporting & analytics solutions that will be used to drive key planning processes, including all S&OP forums across Demand & Supply Planning and Annual Budget Planning.
This role will focus on utilizing system capabilities to automate reporting needs wherever possible and will work to refine and document business requirements and functional specifications required by IS partners to build these reports. This role will optimize the use of o9’s reporting capabilities by acting as a system SME and will train users on the utilizing reporting in o9 where needed to ensure supply planning best practices are being executed against correctly.
This role also leads and guides the GSC Planning teams in defining, calculating, and setting performance targets around those KPIs that are critical to assessing the health of our supply chain processes, and uses industry benchmarks to support target setting.
Responsibilities
Assess impact of current business practices, identify, and implement improvement opportunities. Use business analysis skills to help diagnose issues and consider the options and solutions required.
Establish performance targets for supply planning: align on calculation and include industry benchmarks where relevant to help inform target setting. Develop reports to track these targets on a monthly basis.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for reporting capabilities across Demand Planning & Supply Planning modules in o9, and ensure a high level of data integrity in outputs.
Identify and implement ongoing opportunities and approaches for automating routine processes and driving improvement in efficiency and service levels.
Stay current with trends in the reporting & analytics space and understand where there might be potential benefit to CVI business.
Collaborate with teammates across GSC to develop reports that meet their reporting & analytics needs and align with the organization’s strategic goals.
Partner with MDM and IS teams where needed to ensure appropriate data governance policies and procedures are in place.
Travel:
Domestic and International travel – up to 10%
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge and experience handling large datasets in Microsoft Excel; and with Tableau, Cognos, or similar tools that can be leveraged to architect and design reporting and visibility solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Ability to create and communicate a clear vision for change, as well as understand and address concerns of those affected by change.
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, well-organized, and attentive to detail. Quickness of comprehension and aptitude for learning.
Familiarity with RACI & SIPOC frameworks – ability to map a process and understand key resources & information flow. Can share this out in a way that makes sense to those involved in the process.
Ability to develop and make recommendations and produce exceptional quality output as relating to inventory management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapting to changing business demands.
Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes and procedures.
Ability to build an effective network of contacts to facilitate achievement of goals and ensure continuous and consistent delivery momentum.
Ability to work across multiple groups and countries plus broad functional areas to obtain buy-in and support, communicate and provide support for implementing capabilities as related to inventory management.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate between and across functional and technical teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes.
Normal office environment.
Prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
Exposure to manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform light to medium physical work and standing for long periods of time, if required depending on the task.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience within Supply Chain.
Understanding of key supply planning processes within end-to-end supply chain.
Understanding of Manufacturing, Packaging, and Logistics in a global company.
Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices.
Proven experience of working with ERP systems such as Oracle eBS, Baan, SAP and Advanced Planning Systems such as o9, BlueYonder, OMP, Logility, etc.
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Master of Business Administration degree preferred.
