Piper Companies is seeking a
Project Manager – Operations, Portfolio Servicing & Transition
to support a leading financial services organization. The Project Manager will lead cross‑functional initiatives focused on servicer transitions, operational readiness, and portfolio servicing within a highly regulated environment. This position will be hybrid in McLean, VA (3 days per week onsite).
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end servicer transitions including onboarding, migration, and stabilization
Manage project plans, timelines, risks, and cross‑functional dependencies
Coordinate stakeholders across Operations, IT, Compliance, Legal, and Vendor teams
Support data migration, system readiness, and operational handoffs
Drive process improvements, controls remediation, and operational readiness initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Provide status reporting and executive‑level updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of project management experience within financial services or a regulated environment
Experience managing complex transitions such as servicer/vendor onboarding or operational migrations
Strong experience with data migration, operational handoffs, and stabilization efforts
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
Strong risk management, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt), or similar certification
Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or third‑party risk reviews
Familiarity with collections, recoveries, loan servicing, or consumer finance operations
Compensation
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)
