Azure Cloud Engineer

## Job Description# Azure Cloud EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled **Azure Engineer** to support a large‐scale **Azure cloud migration and system refresh initiative**. This role will play a critical part in designing, building, securing, and supporting Azure infrastructure as the client transitions workloads to the cloud over the next six months. The position is fully remote and supports a federal environment, requiring an active Secret clearance and Security+ certification.* Design, build, and configure Azure infrastructure including **Azure Virtual Machines, VNETs, NSGs, storage accounts, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure PaaS services*** Deploy and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** using Azure DevOps and infrastructure automation practices* Monitor system performance, availability, and security using **Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Security Center, and Application Insights*** Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, networking, and platform issues in a production environment* Support **automation and scripting** efforts using PowerShell and Bash* Implement cloud security controls, governance policies, and best practices aligned to federal requirements* Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and security teams during the cloud migration lifecycle* Hands‐on experience with **Microsoft Azure core services*** Strong experience with **Azure compute, storage, networking, and PaaS offerings*** Experience with **CI/CD pipelines**, DevOps practices, and automation* Proficiency with **PowerShell and/or Bash scripting*** Knowledge of **cloud security, identity management, governance, and monitoring*** Experience supporting production cloud environments and troubleshooting complex issues* **Active Secret Clearance (required to start)*** **CompTIA Security+ (required)*** Experience supporting or migrating systems to Azure in an enterprise or government environment* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a 100% remote setting*Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
