What You Will Be Doing
The selected candidate will use systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making processes. This position will require frequent collaboration with team members and engineers in other disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, the candidate will participate in analysis to support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to help shape and influence future capabilities of the warfighter. These impactful studies quantify the effects of payloads, weapons and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.
Participating in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
Applying engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking
Researching and learning military systems, military operations, and military tactics
Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
Analyzing simulation results using data analytics to help draw meaningful conclusions
Participating in trade studies and performing statistical analysis
Participating in research efforts and learning analytical techniques with research methodologies
Applying decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs

Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible for a DoD secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
Problem solving skills with an eagerness to learn
Ability to obtain a top-secret clearance upon employment. The position requires an enhanced security review and it is a condition of employment that individuals hired into positions requiring program clearance obtain and maintain such clearance within sufficient time to allow Lockheed Martin to meet its business needs.
Desired Skills
Active DoD secret clearance
Operations Research (OR) or experience with computer-based analytical tools
Modeling and simulation experience
Software development experience (C++, Git) and familiarity with Linux OS
Knowledge of data analytics, data science, and data visualization
Basic understanding of statistical concepts, such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis
Advanced degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
Security Clearance Statement
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
