Purpose of the role
Lead construction execution for simple‑cycle and combined‑cycle power generation projects, delivering safely, on schedule, within or below budget, and in alignment with contractual obligations and customer expectations. Provide direction across workstreams, establish delivery frameworks, and ensure construction strategies translate into measurable results.
Core Responsibilities
Lead construction delivery for large‑scale power generation projects focusing on simple‑cycle and combined‑cycle facilities.
Develop and execute integrated construction plans aligned with project, commercial, and organizational priorities.
Drive schedule adherence, cost control, and productivity across all construction phases.
Interpret contract terms and ensure execution aligns with commercial and legal obligations.
Provide strategic direction across multiple projects or a highly complex single project.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, including direct and indirect reports, with accountability for performance, development, and outcomes.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Identify risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement in construction systems, processes, and tools.
Communicate complex project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and clients with clarity and influence.
Support organizational change initiatives and embed best practices across project execution.
What you’ll bring to the role
Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in construction leadership, with a strong track record delivering power generation projects.
Demonstrated expertise in simple‑cycle and/or combined‑cycle power plant construction – essential.
Strong project management capability, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract execution.
Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and influence outcomes across complex stakeholder environments.
Deep understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and field execution in power projects.
Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret contracts and align execution strategies accordingly.
Advanced problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop tactical and strategic solutions in dynamic environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and customers.
Experience implementing and improving systems, processes, and tools within construction environments.
A collaborative, participative leadership style that fosters accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
A degree in a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
