Humana is looking for a Senior IT Performance/Process Improvement professional to support FinOps functions and provide leadership in financial tracking, reporting, and process improvement activities related to cloud financial operations. You will be an important partner across Finance, IT, Procurement, and Cloud teams to ensure accurate financial management, improved operational performance, and governance of cloud‑related spending. You will bring demonstrated experience in performance measurement, process optimization, financial reporting, and cloud financial management practices.
Responsibilities
Track, reconcile, and analyze cloud financials against contract commitments to ensure understanding of organizational budgets, forecasts, and compliance requirements.
Monitor use and financial performance of Reserved Instances (RIs), Committed Use Discounts (CUDs), and similar cloud commitment‑based purchasing models; provide reporting, trend recommendations for optimization.
Execute cloud service provider invoicing and purchase orders in partnership with Procurement and Finance teams.
Promote reporting, dashboards, and documentation to support audits, management reviews, and leadership decision‑making.
Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational processes related to cloud usage, cost management, and vendor governance.
Partner across Finance and IT organizations to align on business initiatives, priorities, and cloud financial management goals.
Support governance activities by ensuring documentation, controls, and standard operating procedures are current, accurate, and followed.
Improve performance tracking, forecasting accuracy, and reporting efficiency.
Provide insights into cloud spend trends, commitments, and variances to support informed decision‑making by leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Progressive experience in performance/process improvement, financial operations, FinOps, cloud financial management, or related disciplines.
Strong experience with financial analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and budget tracking.
Experience working with cloud financial constructs such as Reserved Instances (RIs), Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts (CUDs), or equivalent models.
Improve processes, implement controls, and enhance reporting quality and operational efficiency.
Experience partnering with teams, including Finance, IT, Procurement, and Vendor Management.
Proficiency with reporting and data analysis tools, including Excel and other financial or business intelligence platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting FinOps or cloud cost management practices across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
Familiarity with cloud billing exports, invoicing workflows, purchase order processes, and audit support documentation.
Knowledge of cloud financial management tools such as Cloudability or similar platforms.
Experience developing executive‑level reporting and dashboards for financial and operational performance.
We prefer relevant certifications in cloud, finance, or process improvement disciplines.
This is a remote position.
Pay Range
$89,000 - $121,400 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
