Job Summary:

As an Inventory Control Specialist in the warehouse, you will be responsible for accurately maintaining, tracking, and reporting physical inventory. Acting as a liaison between internal and external customers, you will ensure the accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting.

Pay: $21.50/hour

Responsibilities:

Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory control.

Identify and address quality control issues to maintain regulatory compliance.

Identify opportunities for improvement in all inventory functions and programs.

Check and exchange pallets as needed, reporting any damage or discrepancies promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and repair of the dock and facility areas.

Wrap and stack pallets for safe storage and transport.

Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) after training.

Ensure compliance with food safety, housekeeping, and other relevant standards.

Perform other duties as assigned to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a warehouse setting preferred.

Familiarity with operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is advantageous.

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.

Ability to operate and learn to operate various technology including computers and tablets.

High school diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant experience is preferred.

Basic math skills necessary for proper counting and verification of pallet ID numbers.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.

Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Environmental Job Conditions:

Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.

Regularly engage in sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse setting.

Perform tasks such as grasping, reaching, pushing, or pulling on a frequent basis.

Endurance for continuous and fast-paced work activities.

Adherence to necessary safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed footwear, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
