Vendor Onboarding Specialist
Vendor Onboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction projects for our Capital Projects/Redevelopment team. As the Sourcing Specialist, you will negotiate terms with vendors, analyze pricing structures, and identify potential new partners. You will manage vendor onboarding packages and ensure compliance with Welltower’s requirements. This position is based in Plano, TX and reports directly to the Invoice Manager, Capital Administration.

Key Responsibilities

Compile comprehensive vendor onboarding packages, including thorough reviews of licenses and insurance to ensure compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with Risk Management to address and resolve insurance discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Research and identify new vendors for the SHO Capital/Redevelopment team, ensuring alignment with Welltower’s standards and requirements.

Coordinate and facilitate pre‑construction and post‑construction meetings, ensuring effective communication and alignment among project stakeholders.

Foster collaboration and synergy among project team members to enhance productivity and achieve project objectives.

Continuously assess and refine project processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Perform other projects and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience with Yardi/Payscan and Smartsheet preferred.

Understanding of COI (Certificate of Insurance), Waivers and Endorsements.

High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate and to get along with others.

Ability to make decisions on minor issues in accordance with company policy.

Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
