Job Responsibilities
Internal Manufacturing Quality in Fuel Systems – focusing on machining processes.
Problem solving, corrective actions: lead/support investigations into quality issues (scrap/rework/customer complaints), develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Use quality tools like 8D, fishbone, and FMEA.
Process monitoring/continuous improvement: use data and risk analysis to direct actions, collaborate with small business team (manufacturing engineers, operations) to improve process capability and reduce variation.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality data (e.g., defect rates, process capability, SPC charts), prepare reports for management and cross-functional teams, track KPIs such as First Pass Yield, internal and external PPM.
Training and Support: train operators on quality standards and inspection techniques, support cross-functional teams with quality-related expertise.
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience and 3 years of internships.
Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience, plus internships.
Required Skills
Problem solving & root cause analysis.
Process improvement.
Knowledge of quality standards (desired but not required).
FMEA, risk management (desired but not required).
Soft Skills Required
Cross functional teamwork with professional and production staff.
Adaptability to changing conditions.
Conflict resolution experience (desired but not required).
Leadership & influence experience (desired but not required).
