
Project Engineer II - Civil Engineer

The Project Engineer II is responsible for preparing key technical components of land development plans with limited supervision. This role requires the ability to independently produce several design elements of a project while coordinating with the broader project team.
Project Engineer II staff begin making limited design decisions while working under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Independently prepare portions of construction plan sets.
Design roadway geometry and horizontal layouts.
Design water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage utilities.
Prepare erosion and sediment control plans.
Prepare landscape and site lighting plans.
Apply applicable local, state, and federal design standards.
Coordinate with survey, architecture, and environmental teams.
Assist with plan revisions and agency review responses.
Provide guidance to entry-level engineers on drafting and design tasks.
Support project managers in maintaining schedules and deliverable timelines.
Qualifications & Benefits
B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar field of study from an accredited university is required
EIT certification preferred or actively pursued.
3–5 years of land development experience.
Strong understanding of geometry, utilities, and ESC design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.
Ability to complete technical design tasks with limited supervision.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
