Job Description
A vacancy exists for a First Grade Interventionist to support the Steps to Success Summer Program at Mountain Ridge Intermediate.
Dates of Program: June 15 - July 17.
The program will be held Monday to Thursday, from
8:30 am to 1:30 pm .
Teachers:
Opening Prep: Monday, June 15 & Tuesday, June 16. Time with Students: June 17 to July 17. Clean up: July 17 PM (after students leave) – teachers will clean up their classrooms and check out.
Students:
June 17, 2026 to July 17, 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach reading and math within the Federal Program of Title I in grades K-2.
Support personalized learning.
Perform reading intervention.
Conduct progress monitoring on at‑risk students.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Hold WV teacher certification in Elementary Education for grades K-2.
Preference given to candidates with a Master’s in Reading and reading intervention experience.
Salary Schedule
Berkeley Co. Teacher Pay Scale based on degree level and verified years of experience.
