Home Location: 4480 Bryant Irvin Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76132 (This position will float across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care locations)
Work hours: Full‑Time, 3‑12‑hour shifts a week (rotating days, weekends and holidays), 7:45 AM – 8:15 PM
What you’ll need
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Completion of approved LMRT training program with proficiency in chest, extremities, skull and spine required.
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program preferred.
Successful completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care preferred.
6 months previous x-ray experience or completion of an internal THR LMRT training program in lieu of experience required.
Successful completion of a CHCP externship at Breeze Urgent Care required.
6 months previous health‑care facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient‑care professional preferred.
6 months previous experience as licensed LMRT preferred.
Strongly preferred experience includes obtaining patient medical histories, administering medications per protocol, performing vital signs, assisting with basic clinical procedures, documenting patient encounters in the EMR and supporting patient flow in a clinical setting.
Previous experience with electronic health record, straight‑arm x‑ray and orthopedic experience preferred.
LMRT issued by the TMB with the specialties: chest, extremities, skull, and spine upon hire required.
Medical Assistant Certification upon hire preferred (required prior to administering injections).
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and required prior to providing independent patient care within 30 days of hire.
THR Urine Drug Collector training (maintained every 5 years and required prior to providing independent care within 30 days of hire).
What you will do
The Concierge guides consumers and their “secondary guests” through the entire urgent‑care visit, enhancing the consumer experience by maximizing throughput and delivering clinical excellence.
Collect identification and payor‑related documentation, conduct registration using EPIC workflow.
Measure and document vitals and communicate the data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level.
Document chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for provider review.
Perform and document laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, including venipuncture with prior competency check‑off.
Administer and document oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow; if a Medical Assistant, may also perform injections with the appropriate competency check‑off.
Assist provider with procedures such as maintaining a sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho‑goods and ortho‑glass.
Perform diagnostic x‑rays and document completion of radiology examinations within the licensed scope of practice as ordered and verified by the provider.
Execute x‑rays following established protocols, utilize appropriate exposure factors for safety, and ensure images and communication are transferred to the radiology group for over‑read and reporting.
Behave professionally and empathetically to build trust, comfort, and relationships with consumers and secondary guests in line with patient experience standards.
Welcome consumers and secondary guests, including eye contact, smile, greeting, and personal introduction, and inquire about the purpose and nature of the visit and appropriate screening questions.
Recognize and notify the provider immediately of emergent patients, perform BLS, provide oxygen administration, and assist with emergency care.
Schedule appointments for primary‑care referrals for consumers.
Maintain office supplies, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate par levels as assigned.
Perform quality checks throughout the facility per established policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
