Visiting Assistant Professor – Biology
St. Edward’s University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, beginning August 2026. Responsibilities
Prepare and teach lecture and laboratory courses in General Biology and possibly Human Anatomy & Physiology. The standard teaching load is 4 courses (12 contract hours) per semester.
Teach other courses in the curriculum as needed and related to the candidate’s area of expertise.
Supervise undergraduate teaching assistants.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a master’s degree or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in biology or a related field. A PhD in Biology or a related field is preferred.
