FULL-TIME MEDICAL RECORDS REPRESENTATIVE NEEDED - IN-OFFICE
WORK HOURS ARE: MONDAY - THURSDAY 7:45AM-4:45PM AND FRIDAY 7:45AM-3:00PM
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE AND/OR BACKGROUND
THIS POSITION IF FOR A BUSY SPECIALTY CLINIC - ENTERING NEW PATIENT PACKETS FOR OVER 20 PROVIDERS AND SEVERAL SATELLITE CLINICS.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS A MUST AND KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY IS PREFERRED.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in medical records knowledge is highly recommended
Needs to pass a basic background check for criminal history, drug screening & OIG exclusions
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for collecting New Patient paperwork information on ourwebsite or packets that are mailed in to the office and entering information correctly and precisely into the EMR.
Checking fax folders of records and routing them correctly to the clinical staff.
Verifying insurance information on the paperwork is correct and active prior to the patient’s appointment
Answering busy phone lines handling medical records request
Strong communication with Call Center employees and clinical teamregarding referrals, hospital records, etc.
Handling incoming requests for medical records requests to be mailed or faxed.
OTHER BASIC SKILLS
Knowledge of medical terminology experience and EMR knowledge preferred
Strong knowledge of Medical Records preferred
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
Ability to work independently when required / appropriate
