About Us
LTE Care Plus Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Early Intervention (EI) services to children and families in New York. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role will ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, payroll processing, and compliance with state and federal requirements.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Accurately enter and categorize all financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
Maintain a complete and organized set of records for audits and internal reviews
Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
Generate financial reports (Statement of Activity, Statement of Financial Position, Cash Flow)
Payroll (ADP)
Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
Collect and verify staff timesheets, ensuring accurate hours and compensation
Input and double-check payroll data, including LBA hours, training pay, PTO, and bonuses
Run preview reports and confirm accuracy before submission
Download payroll reports, tax liability reports, and maintain payroll folders
Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
Finance & Compliance
Serve as liaison with external accountants; provide requested documentation
Review internal books quarterly with accountants
Respond to financial claims, notices, and maintain compliance with all agency policies
Assist in preparing and submitting finance-related documents and forms as needed
Requirements
3+ Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Payroll Specialist, or Accounting Clerk (nonprofit or healthcare experience preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and ADP (Workforce Now or RUN)
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
