Job Overview
This position works in the Financial Services Division and maintains fiscal accountability of juvenile placement funds appropriated for the placement of youth offenders and the provision of prevention, intervention and other services to youth. Acts as financial liaison between Youth Court staff, providers, office of court administrator staff, and other branch personnel.

Responsibilities

Analyze provider payment data to ensure services are paid in accordance with contracts, appropriate funding sources, and codes.

Enter payments for youth placements and review entries in the Juvenile Court Assessment and Tracking System (JCATS) for accuracy.

Assist in performing reconciliations of JCATS data to the System for Accounting, Budgeting, Hire and Relief (SABHRS).

Track and monitor available funding sources to ensure optimal use of funds appropriated.

Analyze monthly expenses, provide budget status reports to probation officers, and offer assistance and instruction on fiscal matters to Chief Probation Officers.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an office setting.

Physical Demands
Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying items under 25 pounds such as papers and files. Some positions may require periods of extended computer use.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field or three years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting or financial field. Experience in governmental accounting and using SABHRS is preferred. Other combinations of related education and experience will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

Salary and Telework Eligibility
Hourly pay: $22.88. Telework Eligible (Full‑time telework is not available. Telework schedule must be supervisor approved.) Benefits Package Eligibility: Health Insurance, Paid Leave & Holidays, Retirement Plan.
