Maintenance Technician A
Location: Transdev, Lancaster, California
Transdev is seeking an experienced B‑Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity.
Benefits

Key Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
Perform moderate‑complexity repairs and replacements on engine components.
Assist A‑Level Mechanics with advanced diagnostics and repairs.
Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and rebuilding of engines and components.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
Maintain vehicles so they are safe for customers.
Diagnose and repair brakes, HVAC, engine tune‑ups, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and more.
Assist with road calls and emergency service repairs.
Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work, parts, and supplies.
Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a mechanic (preferred).
21 years or older.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Good fabrication and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
5+ years automotive or electric vehicle repair experience or combination of education and experience.
Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including background check and drug test.
Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
ASE certifications required; program provided.
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; no use of Schedule I drugs.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
Must lift at least 50 lbs.
Must perform work in all weather conditions.
Work involves long periods of sitting, standing.
Work environment is a mix of indoor and outdoor settings.
