Sr. Financial Analyst
Summary: Serves as a Sr. Financial Analyst on the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing centralized and consolidated reporting supporting the IT organization. This position works closely with Sr. leadership team and reports to the Manager FP&A. Produces financial and other business analysis, interpretation, and investigation of data. Ensures all reporting activities are accurate and prepared within established timelines.
Job Responsibilities
Support the Finance Manager to provide ongoing financial support/partnership to the IT Team. This includes support of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.
Partner with accounting, finance and procurement teams on billing initiatives.
Distribute and assist with the interpretation of key financial reports to respective cost center owners.
Relationship building, including influencing and rapport skills.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Assists with ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Prepares monthly intercompany account reconciliations and required journal entries. Ensures invoices are sent to intercompany partners.
Performs appropriate analysis of expenses ensuring accurate coding, adequacy of accruals, and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Facilitates positive relationships with General Ledger (GL) team members including international accounting personnel as well as other departments. Participate in cross functional teams as needed.
Works closely with manager to track budgets and support the presentation to Executive Leadership teams.
Assists with the process of loading annual budget and quarterly forecast into Oracle.
Special projects as assigned with an emphasis on attention to detail.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Progressive accounting experience, preferably within the CRO or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in working in an internationally oriented organization and knowledgeable in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Oracle
Financial
experience is preferred.
Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously, organize and prioritize those tasks to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
Able to resolve issues diplomatically.
Strong work ethics, professional attitude and reliable. Strong problem-solving skills, research and resolution skills and data analysis.
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and voice mail.
Strong in written and spoken English.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is low. This is a largely sedentary role.
