Pediatric Hospitalist | Las Vegas, NVNevada — States Only Dedicated Tertiary-Care Childrens Facility## Position Details Full-time, permanent position (2,016 hours annually) Setting: 46-bed pediatric floor — states largest, most comprehensive NICU and PICU Shifts: Varied — combination of in-house and call from home Weekends: Included in rotation Not accepting visa or locums candidates Residency within the immediate local area may be required## Practice OverviewSeeking a BE/BC Pediatrician with inpatient hospitalist experience to join a team of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists at Nevadas only dedicated tertiary-care childrens facility: Average daily census of 25–30 patients on a 46-bed pediatric floor Supported by affiliated in-house pediatric intensivists in a 24-bed PICU and 14-bed CVICU Pediatric emergency medicine physicians in a 30-bed pediatric ER 72-bed Level IV NICU covered by affiliated neonatology practice Level II Trauma Center — states only dedicated tertiary-care childrens facility Near full array of pediatric subspecialty support Academic affiliation with the University of Nevada School of Medicine — pediatric and family practice residents rotate through the practice Shares campus with an 834-bed facility serving the local community for 55 years Joint Commission accredited — Consumer Choice Award for 15 consecutive years Open to experienced providers and recent graduates — truly Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility and working toward Board Certification Will not accept candidates with lapsed Board Certification## Compensation & Benefits Relocation assistance if applicable Health insurance including prescription drugs Dental, vision, and life insurance Short- and long-term disability options Employee stock purchase program with 15% discount 401(k) with company match Pre-tax HSA and FSA options Aflac Hospital, Critical Illness, and Accident plans Identity protection Employee Assistance Program (EAP)## Required Qualifications MD or DO — Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years of eligibility) — required Will not accept candidates with lapsed Board Certification Minimum 1 year of current inpatient hospitalist experience — required, no exceptions Must provide last 12 months of case logs from a hospital setting at interview Active Nevada license or willingness to obtain — required DEA — required, must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions CSR/CDS — required, must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions Clean malpractice/license history — highly preferred NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days — required, no exemptions## About the Community – Las Vegas, Nevada World-class entertainment, dining, shopping, and cultural attractions No state income tax in Nevada Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, rock climbing, and exploring Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead Vibrant, diverse community with year-round sunshine Easy access to major national parks including Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon Major international airport with extensive direct flight connections
