RN Circulator Days + On-Call Location: Russellville Hospital The Staff Pad has partnered with Russellville Hospital to find a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Circulator RN to join their Surgical Services team. This role offers a Day Shift schedule with on-call rotation, providing the opportunity to deliver exceptional perioperative care while supporting a collaborative surgical environment.

About the Role As an RN Circulator, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care throughout all phases of surgeryfrom pre-op to post-op. You'll ensure proper aseptic technique, maintain surgical equipment and instruments, and serve as a key advocate for patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients of all ages.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Maintain and monitor sterile fields, instruments, and surgical supplies.
  • Assist anesthesia and surgical teams before, during, and after procedures.
  • Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts in accordance with AORN standards.
  • Handle and label surgical specimens accurately.
  • Support surgeon preferences and maintain up-to-date preference cards.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff and nursing students.
  • Adhere to all infection control and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current RN license with the Alabama Board of Nursing (or compact equivalent).
  • Certifications: BLS required; must complete hospital-based ACLS and PALS.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 months of nursing experience preferred; OR experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities.
