Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel RDN – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a 13‑week assignment in Orange, California. The role offers a competitive pay package, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian

Valid Dietitian license in compliance with state regulations

Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Cer.A.T (ASATT)

Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Essential Work Functions

Evaluate appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated

Instruct patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order

Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease

Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of the patient’s current health

Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides

Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitians

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend

Interpersonal Skills:

Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism

Technical/Motor Skills:

Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment

Mental Requirements:

Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, and work under close supervision or independently as needed

Sensory:

Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
