Responsibilities
Evaluate appropriateness of diet orders for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated
Instruct patients and families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order
Conduct patient visits including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease
Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on the patient’s current health
Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and aides
Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitians
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian
Valid Dietitian license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Cer.A.T (ASATT)
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Essential Work Functions

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and use PC skills

ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend

Technical/Motor Skills:
ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and move about during procedures
