Background
The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Pavement Management Analyst to support statewide pavement performance data analysis, model validation, and automated reporting.

Responsibilities

Analyze statewide pavement management data using advanced engineering and applied statistical analysis to improve forecasting accuracy and project-level decision support.

Analyze large SQL-based pavement databases, including historical Pavement Condition Survey data, structural testing data, and materials performance information to develop and refine pavement performance and deterioration models.

Correlate condition, structural, traffic, and programmatic data to enhance long‑term forecasting reliability and improve resurfacing decisions.

Coordinate pavement management database enhancements and modernization efforts to ensure data integrity, consistency, and long‑term sustainability.

Support new data element development, database reorganizations, and improved data input techniques.

Conduct quality assurance reviews, data validation checks, and quality control assessments to maintain accuracy.

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated reporting systems and visualization tools, designing dashboards and platforms using Power BI, SharePoint, and related enterprise applications.

Lead and support the accurate and timely publication of the Annual Pavement Condition Survey.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge:

Concepts, terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of pavement systems and pavement management; pavement and roadway design, construction, production, and/or operations.

Skills:

Operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; computer programming.

Abilities:

Analyze and interpret engineering data; solve engineering problems; apply quantitative techniques; plan, organize, and coordinate work; communicate engineering information effectively; establish effective working relationships; work effectively in a team environment.

Other Job‑Related Requirements:

Respond before, during, and following emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience using personal computers for word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database applications.

Candidates must be United States citizens or lawfully authorized alien workers. Visa sponsorship is not available.
