HR Coordinator – Onboarding

The HR Operations Excellence Team oversees the operational aspects of the entire employee lifecycle, ensures HR policies and procedures adhere to applicable laws, ethics and regulations, and plays a governance role for the HR function. Under the supervision of the Director, HR Operations Excellence, the HR Coordinator — Onboarding will primarily be focused on various tasks related to the pre-employment and onboarding processes for new hires.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates pre-employment activities including background checks, drug screens, and completion of new hire paperwork
Serves as the primary point of contact for new hires and hiring managers throughout the pre-employment and onboarding process
Enters and updates new hire information in HR systems accurately and in a timely manner
Schedules and facilitates new hire orientation for corporate office employees
Maintains accurate onboarding records and tracks completion of required tasks and documentation
Partners with IT, Hiring Managers and other stakeholders to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
Collects, verifies and maintains I-9 documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations
Manages the process for Employee Referral Program payment
Responds to or triages as appropriate HR related inquiries from both internal as well as external sources
Supports continuous improvement of processes and tools to enhance efficiency and engagement
Plans and independently executes special projects assigned by leadership
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related degree preferred
Prior experience in an administrative role or internship in Human Resources is a plus
