Position Summary
At Parker Aerospace, the Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is seeking an Accountant Analyst for the Devens, MA site. The role reports to the Devens/Naples Accounting Manager and plays an important part in safeguarding and ethically accounting the site's assets in conformance with GAAP. It involves budgeting, planning, internal control oversight, financial reporting, performance measurement, system implementation, and technical accounting support.

Essential Functions

Prepare general ledger, asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing moderately complex account information.

Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other management reports.

Prepare diverse and complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Perform economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements.

Provide management with accounting information necessary to make business decisions.

Recommend financial actions to management by analyzing accounting options.

Maintain accounting controls by auditing compliance with accounting policies and procedures; write and recommend policies and procedures.

Maintain financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls.

Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting complex accounting policies and regulations.

Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems.

May lead or be assigned to a special project team.

Comply with federal and state legal requirements and professional standards; study existing and new legislation, enforce adherence, and advise management on needed actions.

Establish goals and objectives required to complete projects; train and mentor less experienced employees.

Share specialized knowledge with others; represent the company on high level projects; contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work assignments may include cross‑functional or project team responsibilities (e.g., continuous improvement).

Qualifications

BS degree in accounting, finance, or economics; advanced degree preferred.

2‑5 years of experience in general and cost accounting.

Knowledge of GAAP, methods and concepts; general knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and/or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

General knowledge and ability to apply continuous improvement techniques.

Proficient with automated accounting systems, spreadsheet applications, and standard business applications software.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports; respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members and leaders.

Ability to demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal‑setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.

Competitive Compensation

Pay Range: $87,050 to $145,250 annually
