Student Recruiters in the Office of Recruitment are responsible for the overall management of an assigned recruitment territory. They guide students from prospect and inquiry through application, admission, and enrollment, providing leadership and oversight for recruitment and enrollment activities. Responsibilities include maintaining assigned territory consistency, building relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, and community partners, representing Marshall University through outreach and travel, and meeting established performance standards and enrollment goals.

Work Environment and Travel
This position requires frequent travel, including overnight trips, and may involve evening and weekend work. Recruiters must manage travel schedules effectively, represent the university at events both on and off campus, drive with a valid driver’s license, and be eligible for hotel and car rental agreements.

Benefits

Work week is 37.5 hours.

Approximately two weeks off for Winter Break.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Experience: Six months in higher education or an active undergraduate experience at a higher education institution, or other relevant experience such as sales, customer service, teaching, or tabling events.

Valid driver’s license and eligibility for hotel and car rental agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: One year of admissions, recruiting, advising, or higher education experience, or active undergraduate experience at a higher education institution.

Experience: Relevant experience in sales, customer service, marketing, or tabling events.

Valid driver’s license and eligibility for hotel and car rental agreements.
