Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee our breakfast and bar/bistro operations in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining inventory control, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
Supervise and manage staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
Implement training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in food production.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimize restaurant performance.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management, preferably in a quick service or casual dining setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Experience in staff training, development, and team management.
Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
Previous experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus.
Culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory; passion for the food industry is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings on weekends.
