The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the daily leadership of Food & Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, consistent product quality, and strong financial performance across outlets and events.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Service Execution
Support daily operations for assigned outlets (restaurant, bar/lounge, in‑room dining, and/or banquets based on business needs).
Maintain floor presence during peak periods to ensure smooth service flow, table touches, and immediate issue resolution.
Ensure consistent execution of service standards, sequence of service, and guest experience expectations.
Assist with opening/closing duties, shift planning, and operational readiness (setup, staffing, service stations, cleanliness).
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and support colleagues and supervisors; provide coaching, feedback, and real‑time service leadership.
Assist with onboarding and training (service standards, menu knowledge, upselling, POS, safety, and brand expectations).
Support scheduling, attendance management, and shift coverage to align with business volumes.
Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and inclusion.
Guest Experience & Service Recovery
Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly; elevate and document outcomes per process.
Monitor guest feedback and trends; help implement improvements to elevate satisfaction and consistency.
Build rapport with repeat guests and support loyalty recognition and special occasions.
Financial Performance & Controls
Support department performance through labor management, productivity awareness, and cost‑conscious decision‑making.
Assist with cash handling controls, comps/voids review, tip reporting processes (as applicable), and end‑of‑shift reconciliation.
Drive revenue through suggestive selling, beverage/food pairings, and promotion execution.
Support inventory processes including counts, requisitions, par maintenance, and receiving controls (as assigned).
Collaboration with Culinary & Stewarding
Partner with Culinary and Stewarding leaders to ensure product quality, ticket times, sanitation, and back‑of‑house readiness.
Support banquet and event execution by ensuring staffing readiness, BEO accuracy awareness, and smooth FOH/BOH communication.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve timing, and elevate presentation.
Safety, Sanitation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards and local regulations.
Reinforce responsible alcohol service policies and verify ID requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean environment for guests and colleagues; ensure proper chemical and equipment safety practices are followed.
This position has a salary range from $65,000-$77,000.

Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of restaurant/bar service standards and guest service recovery.
Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while maintaining luxury‑level service.
Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic reporting.
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Flexible schedule availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Hotel luxury or upper‑upscale F&B experience; experience with banquets/events is a plus.
Beverage knowledge (wine, spirits, cocktails) and comfort with menu training and upselling coaching.
Certifications as applicable/required (e.g., ServSafe, alcohol service certification).
