District Bilingual Reading Interventionist

Primary Purpose
Coordinate and provide district support developing and implementing Reading Intervention for at risk bilingual students. Provide instructional support and training of teachers in the intervention process.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree from accredited university

Valid Texas teaching certificate with Bilingual Certification

Demonstrated competency in reading instruction

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of scientifically based reading intervention

Knowledge of Literacy Collaborative practices

Thorough understanding of early literacy acquisition

General knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Three years teaching experience

Salary
Teacher/10 months
