
Maintenance Tech

Looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for our property Sunstone Village, a 55+ Active Adult community.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position will assist in all phases of maintenance operations.
The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Property Manager and takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor as assigned. This position will maintain working relationships with all other staff members, vendors, contractors, construction personnel; will maintain positive relationships with all current and prospective residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Maintenance Technician:
Completes maintenance work orders as assigned
Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation
Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
Handles emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager
Participates in on-call schedule and responds to after-hours incidents
Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment
Interacts in a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs
Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
Other duties as assigned by the manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum High School Education or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years full time maintenance experience including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems
Valid driver’s license
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to solve problems involving residents, emergency situations, etc.
Basic computer skills for completing online work orders
Works well in a team environment and demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
Must have HVAC and pool certifications
SCOPE + COMPENSATION
Minimum forty (40) hours per week; additional hours as required. Regular schedule to be consistent with established hours of operation
Salary commensurate with level of experience and job requirements
