As a Finance Intern, you will support the finance, tax, and payroll team on a rotational basis, performing tasks and reporting requirements for each team.
Responsibilities
Track, tag and maintain fixed assets; prepare fixed asset reports and schedules.
Assist with uploading daily cash journal entries into Oracle for timely posting of cash reconciliations.
Perform ad‑hoc accounting, financial, and reporting tasks as needed.
Help administer the month‑end and financial reporting SharePoint site to ensure compliance with JSOX controls.
Complete special projects and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with treasury management tasks as required.
Support the accounts receivable team with financial and reporting tasks.
Assist the financial planning and analysis team with ad‑hoc presentations and analysis.
Help reconcile subsidiaries and address ad‑hoc inquiries for reporting purposes.
Work with the indirect tax team on sales/use tax, tax research, record retention, and exemption certificates.
Prepare, reconcile, and review tax filings and supporting schedules.
Gather data and documentation for tax audits, notices, and inquiries.
Required Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Demonstrated previous experience in accounting, finance, tax, or economics-related tasks (through coursework, projects, internships, or on‑the‑job experience).
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Ability to collaborate with employees and management at all levels.
Strong strategic analytical skills; detail‑oriented and accurate.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Oracle, specifically G/L, A/P, and Fixed Asset modules.
Good understanding of accounting and financial concepts, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
The pay range for this role is $21.00/Hr.
