Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Mount Pleasant, SC for a Veterinary Technician. The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians in providing medical care to patients, which includes obtaining patient histories, performing diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and preparing animals for surgical procedures. Additional responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia, educating clients on pet care and medications, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment. The role requires compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent pet care.
Qualifications
Experience with patient care including IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy, adminsitering medications and monitoring anesthesia
Proficiency in diagnostic testing, laboratory procedures, and surgical preparation
Strong client communication skills for educating pet owners about treatment plans and medications
Ability to maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical preparedness
Effective team collaboration and time management skills
Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality care to animals
Licensed Veterinary Technician credential is preferred
Previous experience in an urgent care or fast‑paced veterinary environment is a plus
Familiarity with veterinary software systems is beneficial
