Job Overview

Responsibilities
Assist in providing quality care to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Offender Population.
Apply clinical nursing skills, perform hands‑on assessments, and support practitioners and RNs on a daily basis.
Assist with initial screenings, medication administration, health‑care emergencies, and physical health assessments.
Maintain department compliance for inspections, participate in in‑service training, and provide health‑related education to staff and offenders.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Full‑time employment with three shifts covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Shift times: 1st – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; 2nd – 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; 3rd – 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Work hours may be determined.
Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
No telework option available.
Starting annual salary of $67,558 (before taxes) for new employees in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Qualifications
Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
Temporary practice permit holders must obtain licensure within one year as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
Eligible to apply if within 60 days of completing an approved licensed practical nursing program; proof of current temporary practice permit or licensed practical nurse license must be shown at appointment.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
