Role Description
This full-time, on-site role as an Executive Sous Chef is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The Executive Sous Chef will assist in managing all kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff, maintaining the highest food quality standards, and ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation for our onsite restaurant as well as Banquet Catering. Responsibilities include inventory management, enforcing food safety standards, training and mentoring team members, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus that meet customer expectations while maintaining budgetary goals. The role requires effective communication and teamwork to enhance the dining experience and achieve operational success.
Qualifications
Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, presentation, and menu development
Experience with kitchen management, team leadership, and staff training
Experience in Banquet catering.
Understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance, and hygiene standards
Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and kitchen supply ordering
Ability to collaborate with a diverse team to maintain a productive and positive work environment
Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
Prior experience in a leadership role within a high-volume or fine-dining kitchen is advantageous
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
