Job Summary
We are seeking a

Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

to provide medical care, medication management, and clinical oversight in a detox and residential substance use disorder treatment setting.

This role emphasizes patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance, allowing clinicians to practice thoughtfully in a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care

Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment

Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS)

Document all medical care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams

Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards

Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Colorado

Valid Colorado medical license

Active DEA registration

Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred)

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
