
Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Ark Animal Hospital in Casper, WY is looking to add a full‑time experienced veterinary tech or assistant to our team. Ark Animal Hospital is a fast growing, small animal veterinary practice that has provided high quality veterinary services with compassion to the community of Casper for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide a positive, caring environment to our clients, their pet companions, and our staff.
Job Skills As a Veterinary Tech or Assistant:
Specimen collection including blood draws.
Anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
Performing fecal diagnostics.
Preparing and handling of multiple laboratory diagnostics.
Administering oral, injectable, and intravenous medications.
Dental cleanings.
Triage.
Radiology.
Nursing Care.
Assisting in surgery.
Care of both hospitalized and boarding patients.
Receptionist Skills (beneficial):
Greet and welcome clients and their animal companions in a friendly, professional manner upon arrival to the clinic.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls using a multi‑line phone system, including answering client questions, screening for service needs, and scheduling appointments.
Provide basic and accurate information in‑person and via phone/email.
Process incoming and outgoing patients, including taking payments.
Ensure reception area and client waiting area is tidy and presentable.
Handling incoming mail and email.
Process a variety of documents, maintain and update client information, service data, and other relevant data within practice management software.
Perform clerical duties such as filing and paperwork organization.
Communicate clearly and effectively with the medical team and Practice Manager to ensure that clients are being provided with the highest level of care.
Requirements:
Applicants who are licensed or have completed vocational degrees are preferred.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently.
All applicants must be willing to participate in pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
Veterinary experience is preferred.
