Our client, a leader in commercial property management and building services, is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be an essential part of the facilities management team, supporting the maintenance and operation of building systems. What's the Job?
Monitor, maintain, and repair building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC and refrigeration units.
Analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions to ensure optimal building performance.
Respond promptly to after‑hours alarms and on‑call requests, ensuring safety and operational continuity.
Assist with general building upkeep, including painting, roofing, and other maintenance tasks as needed.
What's Needed?
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance.
Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, electrical, and plumbing systems.
EPA certification is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry loads of 50 lbs. or more and climb stairs or ladders safely.
Availability to work a rotating on‑call schedule and respond within 45 minutes when required.
