This position is located in Community Long Term Care (CLTC), Anderson County.

This is an in‑office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

Position Summary
Social Worker

Reports to: Area Administrator.

Primary responsibilities include case management quality assurance, compliance review, and supporting Medicaid eligible participants who receive community‑based waiver services. Also provide training to case managers and technical support for Medicaid waivers such as Community Choices and HIV‑AIDS. Travel to case locations is required. Must maintain current knowledge of CLTC programs and related systems, including the Phoenix information system, and adhere to HIPAA and privacy laws.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight, monitoring, and maintenance of Area Office Case Management services.

Conduct service Prior Approval process.

Perform quality assurance and compliance activities.

Assist Area Administrator.

Complete waiver enrollment activities.

Provide case review related to assessment and service planning.

Perform case assignment activities.

Promote collaboration and effective communication.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Social Work with major coursework in social science program and four (4) years of experience in a social work program.

Or a Master’s in Social Work or a welfare field accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and two (2) years of experience in a social work program.

Gerontological preparation desirable.

Skills in assessment and counseling.

Must be able to perform web‑based software functions (key data entry, run reports, update documents, etc.).

Current licensure as a Social Worker by the State of South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners.

Knowledge of service planning and delivery for persons with disabilities.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Ability to multi‑task, manage time, and prioritize cases.

Proficiency in computer applications.

Licensing Requirement
Must have current licensure by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.

Additional Requirements

Holder must drive routinely.

Valid driver's license required.

Lifting requirement: 20 lbs.
