About the role

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. (PFC) is searching for an experienced Senior Quality Control Inspector. We design and manufacture many types of valves including ball valves, check and relief valves, vent valves, pressure reducing regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.
A Senior Inspector must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with advanced mechanical inspection techniques, advanced Knowledge of GD&T and related mechanical inspection processes and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with CMM programing. Proficiency with blueprint and engineering drawing specifications is essential to the role. A Senior Inspector must have the ability to utilize standard surface plate inspection equipment, such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Comparators etc. Also, must possess the aptitude to learn and utilize Keyence CMM and Profilometer to support incoming, in process, and final inspection processes and procedures.
The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA.
What You’ll Do

Utilize standard surface plate techniques to ensure precise measurements and quality control
Navigate and utilize Excel and Word documents to create, edit, and manage spreadsheets and documents efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to accurately follow design requirements and technical instructions
Keep measurement equipment operation by following operating instruction
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
What You’ll Need

Advanced Knowledge of CMM Manager Software and CMM programming experience
Advanced knowledge of GD&T
Advanced math skills with geometry, trigonometry
Familiarity Of Unipoint Operating System
Ability to mentor and train lower-level inspectors
Willingness to work overtime to support on-time delivery
Physical demands and abilities

Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Regularly possess manual dexterity to inspect parts quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Ability to regularly stand for 10 hours
