This long-term project involves high-level accounting support, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
Job Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
Month/Quarter End Processes:
Assist with journal entries, transaction reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare timely and accurate audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Management Reporting:
Support quarterly management reporting, including variance and trend analysis.
Fixed Asset Register Maintenance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Ad-hoc Projects:
Collaborate with the Financial Controller on various projects to support financial operations.
Departmental Coordination:
Gather necessary information for financial reporting from various departments.
Data Integrity:
Ensure accuracy in all financial documents and reports.
Job Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
CPA Certification:
CPA with 5+ years post-qualification experience in a multi-currency Financial Services environment.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
US GAAP Proficiency:
Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in US GAAP.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Self-Motivated:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
MS Office Proficiency:
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (ERP systems experience is a plus).
